The Hartford Collection is positive proof that our longtime principles are consistent with innovation. This custom hardwood furniture collection embodies and advances all things Moser: a dedication to function, formal simplicity, elimination of ornamentation, and a celebration of traditional materials – all joined in uncompromising craftsmanship.
The Hartford Collection makes conspicuous use of visible joinery, with joints formed when a solid or steam bent piece is turned and mortised on the 5-axis CNC machine – a part otherwise inefficient to create. The hand-joined hairline reveal serves to amplify the subtlety of the joint and draw attention to the intersection itself.
The Hartford Collection, which fits comfortably in both modern and traditional settings, is named after Hartford, Maine, in honor of Warren Shaw – a Moser team member whose vision was integral to its design.
As the Hartford Collection gains admiration from an expanding list of satisfied Moser customers, its profile in the design world grows apace. The collection was honored with a 2016 “Good Design” Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, and an “Architizer A+ Jury Award” in the Residential Furniture category.
