I’m fortunate to be partnered with a woman, also an artist, who has an adult child and grandchildren living full-time in Belize. We have made the trek down often enough that the forms of its lush jungles and coral cayes have begun to stay with me. Most of my Belize paintings have been made back in mid-coast Maine where I am free to paint the Belize of my imagination.
