Made for bedtime.
Many of life’s most comfortable moments happen in bed. It’s where we rest our bodies after long days, where we sneak the last few cozy moments before slippers and coffee. It’s where we console crying children, where we reflect on the days past and anticipate the days ahead. A day ended in the welcoming comfort of your bed is a good day.
Edo Platform Bed
When it comes to design, the pursuit of minimalism grows more challenging as the inessential is stripped away. Resting atop four sure feet, the Edo Platform Bed’s frame seems almost suspended in mid-air. Supporting curtain rails provide additional support to the upper portion of the bed, secured by precision tongue-in-groove joints at each corner.
Ellipse Platform Bed
The Ellipse Bed carries forward the design motifs of our Ellipse Collection. Marked by restraint, its design follows the example of furnishing crafted during the period following World War II, when resources were scarce. Like its predecessors, the bed includes only what’s necessary, with four turned legs that taper from the frame down, and simple, sweeping elements that enhance its strength.
American Bungalow Bed
As in Asian traditions, the American Bungalow Bed reveals meaning by leveraging the tension created by opposites. The bed juxtaposes gently curved half-moon crests against a strictly linear headboard, joined to seemingly float above the surface of the mattress. The bed rests on four tapered legs, stout and substantial at the base and narrowing as they climb to the matching curved crests, where they intersect in durable tenoned joints.
Sleigh Bed
Crafted in Allegheny cherry or walnut from Missouri, the Sleigh Bed leverages all the wood’s most prominent advantages – including its workability, durability and natural beauty. The prominent head and footboard of the bed are made of an intricate laminate, heated to form a dramatic, sweeping curve that rises from the mattress to the crest.
Pencil Post
Like its colonial British inspiration, our Pencil Post Bed’s four posts are its most prominent design feature. Each of post is crafted from a single piece of 3″ x 3″ wood which rises to seven feet in length. To obtain clear material for each post, we turn to our long-established relationships with top-quality mills, relying on their ability to provide clear, unblemished North American hardwood. Each post is then crafted in our workshop to form a tapered octagonal rise – resulting in a strikingly elegant profile that looks beautiful either with or without finials and a canopy.
