ATHENS, GA | 2019
At the heart of the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business, Amos Hall and Casey Commons were designed to foster collaboration, connection, and community. As part of the university’s six-year, $140 million campus transformation, the new Learning Community brings together classrooms, meeting spaces, cafés, and study areas in an environment that balances modern functionality with the warmth of traditional architecture. To help shape these highly active spaces, the design team partnered with Thos. Moser to furnish the interiors with custom-crafted tables, seating, and lounge pieces that feel both elevated and inviting.
“We identified a number of uses early on, and we needed the right combination of custom furniture pieces that would look great but also be comfortable, durable, and high quality. We ultimatley selected a variety of Thos. Moser products because they embodied all of these qualities."
-Lousie Labus Lead Designer
Working closely with Collins Cooper Carusi Architects and Robert A.M. Stern Architects, Thos. Moser Contract developed a range of custom furniture solutions tailored to the needs of nearly 10,000 students, faculty, and staff. From bustling commons areas to quieter library-style study spaces, the furniture was selected for its durability, comfort, and timeless aesthetic. Featuring signature designs like the Pacific Side Chair and Harpswell Side Chair, the finished spaces blend craftsmanship with everyday utility—creating a welcoming academic environment built to serve the Terry College community for decades to come.
