Cambridge, MA | 2016
As part of the landmark renovation of MIT's historic Building 2, the Department of Mathematics returned to a thoughtfully reimagined home that honors the building's architectural legacy while supporting the evolving needs of modern learning and collaboration.
The LEED Gold-certified renovation introduced new classrooms, faculty offices, collaborative spaces, and a carefully integrated fourth floor, all designed to preserve the character of the original Beaux Arts building. Throughout the renewed interiors, handmade Thos. Moser furniture complements the timeless architecture, creating warm, functional spaces that encourage conversation, study, and discovery.
