​​Your Thos. Moser furniture is made from premium hardwood provided by nature. The unique characteristics and the subtle variations in grain and color are important elements in our designs. Great care is taken to skillfully match the individual boards that make up every piece of our furniture.

Our furniture is finished with oil and lacquer. After each piece of furniture is carefully hand-sanded, it receives a coat of our proprietary oil blend. A day’s drying time is allowed, and the piece is lightly sanded, ready for the final finish.

After oiling, our pieces are finished with catalyzed lacquer. This finish is water, solvent, and household chemical resistant and does not require routine maintenance.

To clean, dust regularly with a soft dry cloth. When necessary, furniture can be wiped with a slightly damp, soft cloth. Re-wipe any remaining moisture immediately with a dry cloth.

In keeping with our tradition, Chaise makes no use of handles or gadgets. Its two positions are achieved with a simple lean, leaving gravity to do the work. The secret is in the geometry of the pivot, called a fulcrum, which is engineered to transfer an adult's center of gravity from slightly upright to supine in one fluid motion.

The inspiration for this movement? The simplicity of a contemporary Italian-made aluminum lawn chair he sat in one afternoon in a friend's backyard. After many days of trial and error, Tom and David were finally able to make it work in wood.

True to Moser form, the wood works exceptionally well. Crafted from a series of carefully bent curves that form both the legs and the seat frame, the chair forms a graceful counterpoint to more traditional furniture. The seat is covered in a slender, artful cushion covered in luxurious leather, ensuring sufficient comfort for extended periods of reading, relaxing, and, almost inevitably, satisfied napping.
