Our Sleigh Bed presents a contemporary articulation of the 18th-century grace and elegance of its French origins, elevated by a desire for simplicity and modern comfort. A rare application of a framed laminated solid hardwood panel produces the headboard’s dramatic single curve. Our Sleigh Bed features the reinforcement of a full bolt system through the bed into the side rail in order to reinforce and ensure its original solidity for the many years of its life.

MATERIAL & CARE

Your Thos. Moser furniture is made from premium hardwood provided by nature. The unique characteristics and the subtle variations in grain and color are important elements in our designs. Great care is taken to skillfully match the individual boards that make up every piece of our furniture.

Our furniture is finished with oil and lacquer. After each piece of furniture is carefully hand-sanded, it receives a coat of our proprietary oil blend. A day’s drying time is allowed, and the piece is lightly sanded, ready for the final finish.

After oiling, our pieces are finished with catalyzed lacquer. This finish is water, solvent, and household chemical resistant and does not require routine maintenance.

To clean, dust regularly with a soft dry cloth. When necessary, furniture can be wiped with a slightly damp, soft cloth. Re-wipe any remaining moisture immediately with a dry cloth.

Crafted in Allegheny cherry or walnut from Missouri, the Sleigh Bed leverages all the wood's most prominent advantages – including its workability, durability and natural beauty. The prominent head and footboard of the bed are made of an intricate laminate, heated to form a dramatic, sweeping curve that rises from the mattress to the crest.

The bed is assembled using a full bolt system with polished brass covers, which attaches through the head and footboard into the sideboards to form a solid, unshakeable base. Made for a lifetime of use, its integrity allows its beauty to shine for many generations.

The Sleigh Bed rests on four carved legs that taper at the floor and arc up to support the broad wood panels of the headboard and optional footboard. With its simple, striking aesthetic, the bed is a natural centerpiece to any bedroom setting and complements both traditional and contemporary furnishings with equal ease.
