​​Your Thos. Moser furniture is made from premium hardwood provided by nature. The unique characteristics and the subtle variations in grain and color are important elements in our designs. Great care is taken to skillfully match the individual boards that make up every piece of our furniture.

Our furniture is finished with oil and lacquer. After each piece of furniture is carefully hand-sanded, it receives a coat of our proprietary oil blend. A day’s drying time is allowed, and the piece is lightly sanded, ready for the final finish.

After oiling, our pieces are finished with catalyzed lacquer. This finish is water, solvent, and household chemical resistant and does not require routine maintenance.

To clean, dust regularly with a soft dry cloth. When necessary, furniture can be wiped with a slightly damp, soft cloth. Re-wipe any remaining moisture immediately with a dry cloth.

Shaping the crisp, straight lines of the Eastward seats requires a deft and steady hand. Each wedged chair leg must be delicately sanded smooth without grinding away too much of the seat – an effort that requires a steady hand, an understanding of wood, and undivided attention to detail. The chair's arms seem to float, suspended atop spindles and supported with through-spindles at the back for a firm, reliable support.

The ash spindles' springiness and careful placement provide subtle flexibility, making this chair one of the most comfortable we've ever made. Contrasting dark and light in walnut and ash or cherry and ash, the Eastward Arm Chair's confident simplicity stands firmly in that perfect balance between design and craftsmanship. It is a quiet companion to any dining table – in any dining space. A natural complement to the sibling Eastward Side Chair, these seats combine both grace and purpose, ensuring their heirloom quality.
