An Exercise in functional beauty.
The Harvest Table is notable for its use of the rule joint, which runs the length of each side – and is fully exposed when the leaves are stowed. The table’s simplicity belies its complex joinery, which permits two pull out arms that support the leaves without consuming valuable sitting space when the leaves are up.
The legs of the table are Shaker-style, rising from their narrowest point at the floor to their junction with the table’s interior skirt. The skirt fastens to the legs, stabilizing the table for use and longevity.
The tabletop is an exercise in functional beauty. Made of matching cherry or walnut planks, the raised leaves form an almost seamless surface that celebrates the wood’s natural grain. The meticulous hand finish showcases the wood’s beauty while protecting the surface through countless meals – for countless generations.
