Bowback Stool

$1,175.00 - $1,500.00

The design and muscle of the Bowback Stool found its inspiration in the everyday – pairing the essence of a broad tractor seat with the passenger bar found on the back of a motorcycle. Both comfortable and comforting, these high functioning sources of inspiration are elevated in the Bowback Stool to objects of grace and beauty at the hands of our master craftspeople. Utility has never been more aesthetically satisfying.

The Bowback Stool rises simply from the floor on four turned ash legs that broaden as they reach the seat. The legs terminate as our signature wedged tenons enter the seat base to provide both visual and structural support. Four structural rails connect at the base of the stool to provide stability, and a fifth rail at the front provides a natural footrest.

Crafted out of sustainably harvested hardwoods, the stool’s seat follows natural human contours, making it comfortable for a meal or conversation at a breakfast bar. The seat back is formed with a steam-bent wooden rail, which is reinforced and beautified by four slender ash spindles.

Available in a variety of heights, the Bowback Stool pairs walnut and ash, cherry and ash or both seat and spindles in ash. And with our signature wedged tenons joining the seat to the crest and legs for superior strength, every Bowback stool will withstand generations of daily use and comes with our lifetime guarantee.
