Crafted with carefully sprung spindles and sculpted seats, our Eastward Studio Chair recalls the Shaker tradition, with thoughtful Moser updates that reduce overall mass, eliminates spreaders, and features a shortened back, making it perfectly suited for breakfast nooks or smaller tables.

The Seat
Shaping the crisp, straight lines of the Eastward seats requires a deft and steady hand. Each wedged chair leg must be delicately sanded smooth without grinding away too much of the seat – an effort that requires a steady hand, an understanding of wood, and undivided attention to detail.

The ash spindles’ springiness and careful placement provide subtle flexibility, making this chair one of the most comfortable we’ve ever made.
