Director of Manufacturing, 1984
When Tom Moser asked me to run the shop several years ago, I immediately responded, “I don’t know how to supervise people.” Without blinking an eye, he said, “You don’t have to if you do it right.”
Of course, he was on the money. It didn’t come without a few little bumps along the way, but I see my job these days as removing roadblocks for the people making our furniture. They have this train running smoothly, and I want to help them keep it that way.
“We have seven people with over 30 years of service and many more between 20 and 30 years. They care and like being here.”
