The Thos. Moser Greenwich Showroom proudly presents the original works of
E. Melbourne Brindle.
(1904 - 1995)
Ewart Melbourne Brindle was born in the city in Australia from which he took his name in 1904. His father was a well known painter and his son soon showed the family talent. As a boy, his family emigrated to the West Coast of the United States where young Brindle continued his education.
Brindle moved to New York in 1938. His work was seen in the major magazines of the period advertising such iconic brands as Ford, General Motors, Packard and United Airlines.
Brindle’s passion for fine antique automobiles has been a constant in his paintings. This love culminated in 1971 with the publication of his illustrations in the book, Twenty Silver Ghosts.
Living in semi-retirement in Camden, Maine and Vero Beach, Florida, he continued to produce paintings reflecting his interests in the ships, the seas, Boston and as always the automobile.
Brindles’s work has been shown in galleries throughout the United States.

DJ Carey, Editorial Director of Connecticut Cottages & Gardens, visited our Greenwich Showroom to talk about her recent trip to our Maine workshop as a participant in our Customer In Residence program. DJ, a novice when it comes to woodworking, successfully completed a Square End Table with Shelf working alongside one of our skilled cabinetmakers. Now we proudly display her table in our showroom window for a limited time.

IMPORTANT GPS WARNING ~
GPS directions will direct you to 55 East Putnam Avenue (also known as Rt.1) in Cos Cob, CT. This is a mistake. We are actually located further south (off I95, Exit 3) in central Greenwich at 55 East Putnam Ave.
FOR PARKING: Use lot behind our building (access from Church Street) or metered parking in front on Putnam Avenue and side streets (quarters accepted).
NORTHBOUND From NY
On CT-I95: Take Exit 3 (Arch Street). Take right at forked end of exit and continue to the end of Arch Street. At light, take left onto Steamboat Road and travel under overpasses to the end of Steamboat Road. At light, take right onto Bruce Park Avenue and then an immediate left onto Mason Street. Keep left around rotary and continue on Mason Street. At intersection with Church Street and East Putnam Avenue, see Thos. Moser in corner brick building.
On CT Rt.15, Merritt Parkway: Take Exit 31 (North Street). Turn left off exit onto North Street. Continue to end. Take left on Maple Avenue to end. Veer right when road merges onto Putnam Avenue (Rt.1). We are on the right side at lighted intersection with Mason and Church Streets (YMCA on left).
SOUTHBOUND From CT
On CT-I95: Take Exit 3 (Arch Street). At end of exit, take right onto Arch Street. Just under overpass, at light, take right onto Railroad Avenue (becomes Bruce Park). At next light, take your first left onto Mason Street. Keep left around rotary and continue on Mason Street. At intersection with East Putnam Avenue, see Thos. Moser in corner brick building.
On Rt.15, Merritt Parkway: Take Exit 31 (North Street). Turn right off exit onto North Street. Continue to end. Take left on Maple Avenue to end.
