[ Reshaping the traditional to lend a bit of Moser style to casual dining. ]
KATAHDIN COLLECTION:
updating a classic American form
Mount Katahdin, Maine's majestic mile-high peak, is the northern U.S. terminus of the Appalachian Trail. Straight-backed ladderback chairs were common in turn-of-the-century rural homes, and our Katahdin seating design strays from convention with subtly curved rear legs and more deeply contoured slats that provide uncommon comfort. Pinned mortise-and-tenon joints firmly secure the legs and seat frame, eliminating the need for rungs. This reshaping of the traditional Appalachian ladderback design provides comfort and elegance so you can enjoy leisurely evenings at the dinner table. |
