About The Jackson Laboratory
The Jackson Laboratory was founded in 1929 as a cancer research facility, and has been designated as a Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute since 1983 to conduct basic research. The continuing mission of The Jackson Laboratory is to discover the genetic basis for preventing, treating and curing human disease, and to enable research and education for the global biomedical community. Based in Bar Harbor, Maine, The Jackson Laboratory has a large presence in Maine and is the state's sixth largest non-profit organization. We are proud to support The Jackson Laboratory and hope you will join us on November 8th to learn more about the important work that they are engaged in every day.
