ABOUT THIS EVENT:
Thos. Moser is proud to partner with DWELL and New York Magazine for a special City Modern event on October 2nd.

City Modern is a week-long celebration of New York architecture and design and will feature exhibits, discussions, home and studio tours and other exclusive events offering a one-of-a-kind experience of architecture and design throughout New York.

In our commitment to cultivating appreciation of craftsmanship, Thos. Moser will sponsor the Emerging Designer Open Studio walking tour and will be the opening destination. The Emerging Designer Open Studio tour (2-5pm) will provide attendees with unprecedented access to designers in their work environment and the opportunity to interact with designers and learn more about the creative process.

Those attending the Open Studio walking tour can pick up maps for the self-guided tour in the Thos. Moser Madison Avenue showroom. Upon entry, visitors will be greeted with refreshments and a unique master cabinetmaker demonstration, showcasing the quality craft behind the Thos. Moser brand. Visitors will also have the opportunity to enter to win their choice of Thos. Moser furniture valued up to $4000.

Additional designers on the tour include: Snarkitecture, hOmE, Chen Chen & Kai Williams, Um Project, DMFD, Hellman Chang, Egg Collective, Todd Bracher, Olga Guanabara, Uhuru Design, TOKEN, Fort Standard and Click Boom Pow.

Prior to the studio tours (1-2pm), Dwell Editor in Chief Amanda Dameron will explore the inspiration and design philosophies behind the “Thos. Moser School” with head designer and master cabinetmaker, David Moser. Space is limited for the design talk, please RSVP by contacting our New York Showroom.
