	"The Upside of Iris,” which has been compared to the critically acclaimed French film "Amélie," is part fairy-tale and part whimsical, off-beat love story. It follows our hopelessly romantic heroine, Iris, as she tries to find the innocence and purity of a childhood love. The aptly named Iris was born with an unusual affliction; she sees the world upside down. As one can imagine, her “upside down-itis” grants her a unique perspective. Jennifer Schwed is a local independent filmmaker. She has written and will both Direct and Produce a feature length film called, "The Upside of Iris.” We will be shooting the film here in the DC area and we are currently scouting local businesses and stores to use in many important scenes. “The Upside of Iris” creates a visually captivating world where “upside-down” can be the “right side-up.” Iris is proof that perspective truly is, everything, and that a change in perspective can make all the difference in the world.
We will be holding a financier’s event to promote raising the capital needed to fund our film.
