Great furniture designers, like the Shakers during the 19th-century and the Danish of the mid-20th century, often view design as an obligation to reflect a heightened social conscience. They strive to create objects of beauty for the betterment of everyday life. David Moser’s new Meridian Collection is firmly rooted in these ideals.

The Meridian Collection is our first our first to be introduced with ash as the primary wood. While also offered in cherry, the clean, crisp aesthetic of ash creates an uplifting lightness that matches perfectly with this contemporary design. The finish on Meridan in ash is a clear lacquer finish with a UV inhibitor to protect and seal the ash and minimize the impact of light and air on the color of the wood over time. This will be the first time we have used this exact finish, but we expect it will be a durable finish and easy to live with. The finish on Meridan in cherry is our standard oil and wax.
